Firstly I'd just like to thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post..muchly appreciated. Sorry not to have responded personally but I've been feeling a teeny bit under the weather lately, fending off this foul cold that everybody around me has.
Over the weekend we made the most of the nice few days we've been having and headed up to the moor. A first for Wilf, he seemed a bit bemused by all the space. Having found out that he is a bit woofy and exciteable around livestock, we drove for a while to find a spot that was suitably animal free - not an easy task on Dartmoor !
Eventually we came to spot at the back of Bonehill rocks where we could see all around us and apart from a few sheep in the distance there were no animals for him to 'worry'. He's not a sheep killer or anything, just seems to like to round everything up noisily which is not ideal, especially as he could get shot for it.
It was beautiful, I couldn't believe we'd not been up there since the Spring, on a similarly lovely day. At the top we just sat and let the sun sink in, breathed in the clean air and totally relaxed. Absolute heaven.
the girls drew and created 'Dartmoor stories'.....whilst the big kids had fun chucking walking sticks javelin style...very hunter gatherer, Dad...
can you see the rock man looking out over his domain ?
Have been twice in Dartmoor and i love it, it's pure magic you can feel there !!, greetings from Holland from Danielle

What GORGOUS photos, nothing like children and humans being outside being enveloped by air. Especially amongst rocks and hills and wildflowers.

wow. just stunning. i so want to visit there one day...for now i'm "stuck" with palm trees and beaches--which have their own beauty, but i think i'm partial to green grass, big hills, awesome rocks. such great photos asti!
