walking….
and dyeing……..
have been my focus (never mind the house work – I’ve got my blinkers on).
I’m getting organised for Knit Nation at the end of July. Check it out, it’s going to be a fab show.
A tad previous I know but the last thing I need is eleventh hour stress ;)

After a fraught week last week – chicken pox (Maddie), tummy bug (me), best friends wedding (wonderful) and all that those things entail, we are back to normality and enjoying the sun in our little yard !
It’s nice to be back on track :)
100% cashmere cardy, slightly fulled and a teeny adult size to start with - but fits Maddie like a great big warm hug. Still as super soft and strokeable as can be.
50 pence, yes 50p folks.
(And yes I did do a happy dance when I got home :)
Some bright Bluefaced Leicester Top in ‘Hundreds and Thousands’ colourway, destined for the next Fiberholics box. It’s dried up into the softest most squishy cloud :)
….was one of those mooching around kind of afternoons. Too late to go anywhere but not quite time for winding down towards tea and bedtime.
Enter the Crafty Crow, a site that has saved the day so many times. A quick look around led me to this little project.
The odds and end crayons were chosen and disrobed with great care and attention
Cut into chunks with equal care (!) and put into some pretty rose silicone cake moulds. A quick spell in the oven, a quick cool and hey presto……
the coolest crayons known to man !
For the second time in 3 weeks I made the journey up to London and just beyond, back to my old stamping ground, the second time with Lily in tow.
My best friend is getting married in a couple of weeks and I am maid (or should that be matron) of honour and the girls are bridesmaids.
There has been lots of tweaking and measuring of the dresses, things sent backwards and forwards in the mail post alteration – very exciting indeed. We are all going to look like princesses, the dresses are exquisite.
After the hustle and bustle of the smoke (Paddington looking deceptively quiet up there in that pic), gorging on Krispy Kreme donuts (Lily made me buy a 12 pack), Chinese food, pizza and copious amounts of wine, it’s time to get with the program!
On a more chilled note……….the weather around here has been gorgeous. OK, we’ve had a bit of rain but on the whole we have definitely turned the corner. Everything looks so lush and beautiful. The leaves are the most vivid lime green, flowers are everywhere. My morning dog walk has been a delight lately, under the trees it’s so warm,damp and bursting with life, almost tropical.
a nice diversion from the election ;)
