but I'll start with the fabulous Knit Nation which took place at the end of July at Imperial College, London.
Here's Lily, my intrepid helper, opposite the college. See the Science Museum in the background? We were so well placed, such a great setting.
And here is our stand, woo hoo!
I must just thank all the lovely people I met over those few days, customers and fellow exhibitors alike. Your kind words and fibre love exceeded my expectations !! As an online seller it was great to interact with everyone face to face and chat about projects, yarn and life in general.Thank you so much for your support :)
Thanks too, of course, must go to Alice, Cookie and everyone who helped organise such a cool show.
We had lovely neighbours, with Ysolda opposite, The Little Knitting Company on one side, keeping us entertained with the yarn ‘hamster’, very cute but slightly creepy…..
and John and Juliet from Fibre Harvest on the other side, fellow Devoners with a lovely range of locally milled yarns (a couple of which I have my beady eye on…..)
I had to show a pic of the stunning Wollmeise stand too. It really was a sight to behold – beautiful.
On Saturday night we attended the Ravelry party and had fun listening to Jess and Casey..
I can’t tell you how tired we were by this point and we made an early exit after Lily nearly fell asleep at the table, poor child. She certainly worked hard (but I did pay her in knitting needles ;)
Packed up and ready to go on Sunday, we made a quick dash ‘round the V&A, a quick dash to the Hummingbird Bakery for some delicious lavender cupcakes and then it was home.
Total whirlwind but totally worth it !
what a beautiful booth, wish I could've come visit!
